This study explores how technology development contributes to the economic transformation of academic entrepreneurs in Ghana. Using a qualitative exploratory design, face-to-face interviews were conducted with twenty-four faculty members of Ghana Communication Technology University and analysed using NVIVO 11. The findings indicate that technology enables academics to disseminate research, create innovative ideas, enhance international visibility, secure grants, develop consultancy opportunities, strengthen university-industry collaborations, and commercialize research outputs. The study concludes that technology is a catalyst for academic entrepreneurship and recommends that universities strengthen technological infrastructure and industry partnerships to improve research commercialization and economic sustainability.
